Hygiene and health in developing countries: defining priorities – a cost-benefit assessment

From a cost-effectiveness analysis commissioned by the IFH, Larsen concludes that a hygiene education programme can prevent the death of a child at only a fraction of the cost of water supply and sanitation interventions in most developing regions of the world.
