From an analysis of the NZ outbreak surveillance system, outbreaks of IID from 1998-2000 that occurred in a home or household setting were identified (378, 39.3%) and of these 11.9% were considered to be potentially due to unsafe domestic food handling. New Zealand Public Health Report 2001;8:89-91.
