September 10th: How to be a good (and healthy) roommate

It’s that time of year again. School has started, and many young adults are heading off to college for the first time. This means new adventures and experiences –  having a roommate – using a community bathroom and shower – doing your own laundry – cooking your own food. “Infection Prevention and You”  offers advice on how to stay healthy while you’re away at school or college.  Having to miss lectures, not meeting assignment deadlines and missing social events because you are sick is not what you went to college for.  Good hygiene practice – particularly food hygiene respiratory hygiene and handwashing really do help to protect against time-wasting infections
