This report shows that the previously noted rate of growth in CDAD-related hospitalizations in US adults appears to have slowed somewhat in 2006. Of concern is the increasing proportion of CDAD-related hospitalizations given as the primary cause of admission which may signal a change in characteristics of the disease.
